PENDIX
For the optimal support you have the choice between two battery sizes in combination with the Pendix eDrive. Choose the ideal size for your tours, the small ePower300 for the way to work or the large ePower500 for a biketour.

BOOST E-bike Conversions

We know everyone seems to want an electric bike at present, but what if you have a bike already?

Why not let Apple County Cycles convert your existing bike to an electric bike with a Boost e-bike conversion kit.

How does it work?

The Boost battery looks like a large bottle and fits on your bottle cage mounts.

The Boost kit also replaces the existing rear wheel on your bike with a new rear wheel containing a 250 watt hub motor. Boost only sell a rear wheel conversion as front wheel conversions although simpler can change the handling of the bike and make it unsafe.

Boost have various rear wheel sizes available, so in most circumstance we can make a kit work for you.

If your size is not shown, we can build a new wheel for you.

We can fit kits to:

• Road bikes

• Hybrid bikes

• Mountain bikes with 26”, 27.5” or 29”wheels

• Brompton folding bikes with 16” wheels

Other sizes require us to build a new wheel around the Boost 250w hub motor. We can supply wheels for rim or disc brakes.

At present Boost rear wheels will work with quick release axles or 9.5mm/10mm solid axles. Larger through axles coming soon.

PENDIX E-bike Conversions

This is a super high quality 250W fully UK legal crank drive electric bike conversion kit from Germany with a top speed of 25 KPH.

The motor is totally waterproof and is attached to the crank and sits on the left side of the bike frame on the opposite side of the chainwheel and the left hand crank arm is attached to it. This system is totally universal as long as the crank has a BSA 68/73mm standard threaded bottom bracket and will fit all sorts of bikes.

The battery is housed in what looks like a bottle that is attached to the frame where a water bottle would go and has a power metre light built into the top, which shows how much battery is left by changing colour. This kit also has the most minimal of wiring so unlike some kits that look like a dogs dinner, this looks really tidy installed.

How does it work?

The kit has three power levels being Eco, Smart & Sport and has Bluetooth connectivity to the Pendix App if you require this although it’s not necessary and also has a USB charging port so you can charge your phone from it and even a torch.

PENDIX Fitting, Specs & Pricing

The 300 kits are £1799 fitted and have a 300 watt hours battery with a range between 37 and 72 KM depending on mode used. Charge time is 2 hours and total kit weight is only 6.9KG

The 500 kits are £1999 fitted and have a 497 watt hours battery with a range between 62 and 120 KM depending on what mode used. Charge time is 3 hours and 10 minutes and total kit weight is only 7.3KG.

This kit is for professional fitting only, so must be installed by us. Due to the fully waterproof nature of this kit, it is also suitable for mountain bikes in our experience.
